Russian Up! is the new, dynamic alternative to traditional language schools. Our aim is to provide students the opportunity to study Russian in a fun and laid back environment. By spending a week or two living together with our talented and enthusiastic native-Russian teachers you will be able to totally immerse yourself in Russian.

Russian up! isn’t just another language course. Instead of dull classrooms we offer a unique chance to spend a week or more living with one of our talented and enthusiastic native-Russian speakers. They will provide expert one-to-one tuition, but will also be your tour-guide, host, living dictionary and grammar expert and above all friend.
Based on our own experience as language learners and language teachers we believe that the best way to learn a language isn’t always in the classroom. Instead it is much more productive to immerse yourself in a language environment, to live and interact with native speakers and to have fun.
Our programme is 100% flexible and entirely centred on our students’ individual needs. If you like cooking then we will find you a Russian teacher to cook with. If you are into fishing, then we can arrange a real Russian fishing experience for you.
Maybe you like to just relax and take it easy? No problem. Tell us about your general interests and we will provide you with an experience and teacher tailored to your individual personality.
The key to effective learning is that not only do you speak and listen to Russian all day, but that you experience it in a genuine, natural, and authentic environment, doing the things you love doing in your everyday life.
We are located in the capital of Latvia - the beautiful and historical City of Riga. Riga has the largest community of native Russian-speakers in the EU - 50% of the population speak Russian as a native language. Travelling here is cheap and there are no visa requirements for EU citizens.
Our commitment to traditional teaching excellence combined with a focus on experiencing real and immersive interactions means that there is no better way to learn Russian. A week or two might not sound like a long time but you will be amazed at how much you can learn if you Russian Up!
Price (It is pretty darn cheap!)
A single Russian Up! language course lasts from Monday till Sunday. Accommodation is offered for you for the whole week.
We suggest you come and leave on Sunday, study and live with us from Monday till Friday and then use your Saturday to do some more sightseeing in Riga, enjoy the nightlife, or to travel outside of the city and explore some of Latvia’s beautiful nature and cities.
Also, the longer you stay with us the cheaper it is.
